[Alisha is driving Rosso nuts lately, so today's solution to her crimes is to take her out on a walk around Lake Dala. It should be fine. She usually stays by his side anyway if they go out for a walk, it's at home where she's destructive, so he's not all that worried. If anything, she'll take off to scratch a tree or something and come right back.

Or so Rosso thinks, seconds before he watches this tiny catblob yeet herself into a hole that's dug far ahead — she quite literally sprints on her tiny legs toward it and throws herself into it — which leaves Rosso a short few seconds to try to catch up and drag her out.

She is, unfortunately, way too deep by the time he gets there. He can see her little catblobbutt wiggling in the darkness, but he can't reach her to yank her by the tail and pull her out.]

Alisha...! I swear to fucking Elria, I'm gonna get you a fucking leash...!

[Basil's room is still being worked on.

Ever since he pretty much...exploded in his bedroom, he's been waiting for his new bed to get set up in there. The cleanup had taken quite some time just...on its own, but fortunately the old bed took the brunt of the damage, and apparently a lot of the people who have been here a while know how to get blood out of wood. Can't imagine why!

In the meantime, he's assured Fugo that he doesn't actually mind being outside all that much right now. Though he doesn't sleep through the night out here, mostly because he's too afraid of being alone outside right now, he has been retreating to his burrow near the Palazzo to take naps occasionally during the day. That, and with as sore as he still is, it's...nice to just be somewhere he feels safe.

He'd actually been just starting to doze when something round suddenly plops into the hole, right onto his chest.]

E...eeah-!!!

[Basil screams, a muffled shout from inside. All Rosso will be able to see is Alisha being moved about as Basil struggles to get up, occasional flashes of bright green and purple in the dark.]

W-what is it- get- get off-!

[...hey that sounds like Basil.

Unfortunately, Rosso can't do anything except for scream down into the hole for Alisha to get her ass back up here. When she doesn't, his attention instead turns to Basil to shout down, a little less hostile:]

Hey, kid! She's not gonna hurt you, but can you bring her up here?

[Meanwhile, Basil is going to get slammed with Alisha Telepathy, which is just a little childish kitty voice saying "Friend :)" in his head, since she's sensed Basil is Friend. Sorry.]

[Basil manages to stop in his frantic flailing when he realizes he's hearing a voice he recognizes. Well, ONE of them he recognizes. The other one...is small and tiny and high pitched in his brain, and it causes him to look around bewildered until it clicks that it's the cat...thing? that talked to him.

And now that he's getting a good look at her...that is what she is. He thinks. Perfectly spherical and soft...]

W-wha...

[Basil is just going to...carefully pick her up off of him between his claws before pushing his way up through the burrow, poking his head out of the entrance with some dirt still clinging to his ears and snout.

Hi Rosso! Basil is no longer baby. He is a dragon now.]

M-Mr. Rosso?

[Staring... man, Basil got fucked up about as fast as Rosso did. He leaves you alone for a couple weeks...]

Hey, kid, long time no see.

[Rosso might as well make himself comfortable instead of leaning down to look into the hole, now that Basil's come out of it; he sits back and tucks one knee up to his chest, the other leg bent and splayed to the side underneath. His tail rests in his lap and takes up... like, all of it.]

Alisha. Tell Basil sorry for scaring the shit out of him.

[Alisha looks at Basil with her big eyes. Then at Rosso. Then back at Basil.

She reaches up with a tiny paw and puts it on his face.

This is totally an apology.]

[Basil looks surprised, mostly because he wasn't expecting Rosso to recognize him at all. He opens his mouth to say as much, but before he can...

Alisha plaps her little paw against his cheek, prompting him to look down at her as he lifts her a little higher in his hands. Oh, she...she really is just a little round cat...]

She....is she yours?

[It's a werewolf thing, he can smell Basil's scent and that's how he knows it's Basil. Were he anything else he'd be like, I don't know who this dragon is but neat.]

Yeah. She arrived last month, and she's been a fucking handful ever since. She's somewhat sentient, and she's in tune with my emotions... probably why she charged into the hole after you. She does that to people who I know.

[Basil is still looking at Alisha as Rosso speaks, and while part of him is still nervous...he can tell now that she's harmless. He'll even give her a little pat on her head, if it's allowed.]

She's so cute...I've never seen anything like her before.

[He's allowed. Alisha is now Behaving aka she's not completely murderous right now (toward spoons, trees, and leaves), and she will squeak and flutter her tiny-ass wings when Basil does literally anything at all.]

Mm... me and the other Masters could create animals like her back home. They're supposed to be made up of raw magic, but when this one was dropped on me, she just became mostly a regular cat... fox... thing. She's going to grow up at some point.

[He doesn't know when.]

She's called Alisha. [that is also the name of the animal in general, Rosso never named the cat, rip.]

[A cat made of magic...? Basil keeps petting her- Alisha- marveling at the way she flaps her little wings when he does. He can't help but think that Sunny would be amazed by her too...and it briefly makes him a bit sad to think about as he sits in the dirt, a bit more relaxed than he was previously after being jumpscared.]

Ah...she's so tiny, too...

[She's like a kitten, but...rounder. Basil leans in a bit closer, his nose twitching as he reflexively sniffs the air around her before he even realizes he's doing it, quickly pulling back again because brain what the fuck stop being so animal it scares him-

Instead, he'll set her down in his lap so he isn't holding her like a hamburger anymore.]

I didn't mean to scream at her. She just startled me.

[Hold Alisha gentle like hamburger.]

It's not like she can't handle yelling. [Rosso does not say "my idiot boyfriend yote her" or "my idiot boyfriend REGULARLY yeets her and she thinks it's a game and comes right back". It's like trying to throw a fucking balloon.] I'm the loudest person on the damn peninsula.

[Alisha is making biscuits on Basil's lap, which is extremely funny because her legs are so damn tiny. Like. Is this doing anything at all...]

[Not even remotely. Basil can just barely feel her paws pressing against his knees, but it's enough to make his tail tip twitch back and forth, a little smile working its way onto his Pangolin-ey features.]

It must be nice, having a pet around.

[Basil has never had pets, not even a family pet, but he does remember Mewo quite well. She went basically everywhere Sunny and Mari did...]

[Alisha is trying so hard to stick her tiny needle claws into Basil and it is doing Nothing. She has to get through not only clothing, but pangolin dragon scales, and like... yeah she's too small. Why is Basil so hard to biscuits >:(]

I've never had one before. You should've seen me in the pet store trying to figure out what the fuck to give her. ...she won't eat pet food. She refuses. I have to feed her whatever I'm eating, or something close to it, or she'll have a fucking fit.

[Oh...that gets Basil to laugh, his nose scrunching up.]

That's where you messed up, I think...of course she'd only want people food now!

You don't even know. I thought she'd be fine, and then she jumped five feet in the air to rip the ham out of my sandwich!

[Rosso tells this story with a dramatic flare, leaning back and flipping his wrist about.

Alisha just squeaks in affirmation. She did that. She did steal the ham. It was delicious.]

Ever since then, it's just a battle. A bunch of people came to help me at the pet store and she's totally ungrateful!

[Alisha goes mewww! very cutely because she is a baby and you can't get mad at her :3c it's illegal :3c]

[The idea of Alisha, this little blob of a cat, being able to jump up to get ham out of a sandwich is...really funny. So funny in fact that Basil can't help but giggle to think about it, looking down at said cat blob who he is still petting.]

It sounds like she just wants your attention, Mr. Rosso.
