[It's a soft response, as Basil too tries to comprehend what it means. It's hard, because his memories of it all are still so hazy, but still...]

[The only reason that Crash doesn't immediately provide a response is that within the next moment, the minotaur poofed with of puff of hairs here and there back into his regular shape. And then he shakes his head.

Even with that, Crash dares to scoot closer to the gargoyle. And if Basil doesn't move from his spot, the pig tentatively started to reach forward and outright scoop the other monster into a hug.]

[Basil doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast, but he at least isn't trying to get away from Crash, which is the important thing here. He's a little surprised when he hugs him, but honestly it makes sense for someone who uses little words in comparison to his actions. And really, that alone says everything.

So when Crash hugs him, Basil hesitates, just for a moment. Then, he hugs him back, wrapping his arms carefully around his shoulders.]

I...don't remember a whole lot, but...I'm sorry if I said anything that upset you at all.

[For maximum hug, Crash carefully adjusted his head to rest his jaw right across the top curve of Basil's snout. The motion is easy and coming from someone with lots of experience in bumping long faces together.]
